Dr. Treta Purohit is a board-certified gastroenterologist and hepatologist with comprehensive expertise in a range of digestive health issues, including inflammatory bowel disease (IBD), GERD, and pancreaticobiliary disorders. 

In addition to serving as a medical director at Oshi Health, she is active in her private practice in the San Jose Bay Area. As the medical director of San Jose GI since 2019, she has skillfully guided the practice through a significant expansion, growing from 4 to 12 physicians, incorporating advanced practice providers, and enhancing procedural access. 

Dr. Purohit is committed to pioneering the integration of digital health solutions into gastroenterology, balancing innovative technologies with a steadfast dedication to individualized patient care. 

Her involvement in advisory roles for various digital health startups and her active participation in the American College of Gastroenterology, where she has been recognized with Presidential Poster Awards, underline her influence and commitment to the field. 

Additionally, Dr. Purohit is adept in specialized interventional procedures such as Endoscopic Ultrasound (EUS) and Endoscopic Retrograde Cholangiopancreatography (ERCP), with her research and clinical insights published in numerous peer-reviewed journals.
