I believe patients should feel heard and understood and I strive to create a partnership where we make decisions together. My goal is to empower patients with the knowledge and support they need to take an active role in their digestive health.

Gabriella McCarty is a nurse practitioner with over two decades of experience in gastrointestinal (GI) care. She understands that digestive care isn’t one-size-fits-all. Each patient is unique and deserves a personalized approach. She’s passionate about treating the whole person, knowing that nutrition, lifestyle, and the gut-brain connection all play a key role in digestive health. At Oshi, Gabriella works alongside registered dietitians and gut-brain specialists to help patients achieve lasting relief from GI symptoms. She’s especially dedicated to helping young adults with inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) reach remission and thrive.

Before joining Oshi, Gabriella cared for patients in a private gastroenterology practice in the Cleveland area, focusing on general GI concerns, IBD, and liver conditions. In addition to her work at Oshi, she also volunteers on the American College of Gastroenterology APP Education Subcommittee and Editorial Review Board.

Outside of work, Gabriella enjoys reading, travelling, and spending time with her husband, two children, two French Bulldogs, and bearded dragon.
