Justin shares his experience with Oshi Health.

What has your experience been like from first hearing about Oshi, to your first appointment, to now?

Before I’d gone to Oshi, I had kind of bounced around between gastros. I saw one for a little bit. Then I saw another one, but I had a couple of misdiagnoses, and they didn’t seem to really care. They wanted to throw medicine at it, and not get to the root of the problem. It was just frustrating because I’d have to schedule an appointment and I have to wait days, weeks, however long it took to get in to see them. And ultimately get in there, see them, and again they just want to rush you in and out.

Then I heard about Oshi, and it was online, and I could do it directly from my phone—and very quick. I could schedule an appointment pretty quickly and the first time I saw somebody it was Karee Ruth, and she was very caring, and she wanted to just get to the root of the problem and really just wanted me to feel better. So it was just a great experience. She did help get to the root of the problem, and I feel 100% better now.

I had chronic SIBO for a long time and being able to work directly with Karee and then a dietitian can get to the root of the issue and not have gastro problems anymore;that was just huge for me because I had been to so many and just kind of at my wits end. When I came to Oshi, it was just a completely different experience and again, just a great experience from the very beginning through now. And, again, I haven’t had to see them in a while because I feel better now. And so that’s ultimately the gastro you want is a gastro that wants to help you get better, so that you don’t have to see them anymore. That’s exactly what I was looking for and exactly what I found in Oshi.

How has your life changed since working with Oshi?

My life has changed drastically, obviously, since finding Oshi because I had been kicked around from gastro to gastro, just getting in and out, places that just want to throw medicine at the problem and not really get to the root of it. I had SIBO. It’s a condition with bacterial overgrowth, and I had it multiple times. No doctor wanted to deal with it, the root of what was causing it, they just ultimately wanted to just treat the symptoms and then move on, versus Oshi truly wanted to get to the root of it. It was just awesome to get to somebody who just truly cared and just wanted to help diagnose it. I worked with a dietitian as well to help see what I was doing that could help naturally solve any problems, as well as, you know, get to the point where I didn’t have to see a gastro anymore.

What would you say to someone who is considering treatment with Oshi?

So anybody that may consider going to Oshi or seeing a gastro, you know, what’s preventing you from doing it? I mean, you can do it on your phone, any labs they would have to order, you know, any gastro would have to order. They can do it from there, and you just have to go show up to a lab and do it. So going to a gastro versus doing it through Oshi? I mean, I would recommend Oshi 100 times out of 100 versus going to a gastro, and you’ll feel better. Ultimately that’s the end goal: is going to a gastro who wants to get to the point where you don’t have to see them anymore. That’s exactly what Oshi did. They got to the root cause, and I haven’t had to have an appointment for a year now because I’ve felt so much better. So I would highly recommend them to anybody that’s having gastro problems that would want to see somebody, and they will definitely be caring and willing to help.
