In today’s interview, James shares how chronic acid reflux was disrupting his sleep and daily life before care, and how working with Oshi helped him regain control of his symptoms through personalized medication, nutrition guidance, and mindful lifestyle changes.
James shares his experience with Oshi Health.
How did you feel about your GI symptoms before starting care with Oshi?
Before I started care with Oshi, my symptoms were really wreaking havoc. They would disrupt my sleep several times a week. I’d wake up and have to run to the bathroom to throw up. It was turning me off from eating food. I was really struggling with it.
When I finally got to work with Dr. Connie at Oshi, everything really improved. I feel like she took the time to get my dosage right, get my prescription right, and get my plan right, so that I hardly ever have those moments anymore. And when I do, I’m able to manage them effectively. I’m super grateful to Oshi.
What have you learned while working with Oshi?
Some tips and strategies that I have learned have to do with what I’m eating, when I’m eating, and how I’m eating. It’s really helped me be more mindful and conscientious about all of those things.
I know which foods help me and which foods I should avoid. I know what activities I should and shouldn’t do close to bedtime, and I know how to slow down and be mindful when I’m eating. Putting that all together helps me manage my symptoms quite well.
How would you describe your Oshi experience?
Anybody I know who struggles with acid reflux, I always recommend Oshi to them. Without any hesitation, I would tell them to seek out the support.
It’s so beneficial to have all of these tools and resources at your disposal, and to have people who are knowledgeable and experienced with GI issues. It’s unbelievable.
