I believe in evidence-based treatment, shared decision-making, and simple strategies for relief that work with a patient's lifestyle.

LaTia Maxwell is a clinical social worker and gut-brain specialist who understands digestive health begins with caring for the whole person. At Oshi, LaTia combines proven, science-backed approaches with compassionate support to help people living with gastrointestinal (GI) symptoms.

Her expertise comes from years of experience in therapy, crisis support, and collaborative care. Her guiding principle is simple: The mind and body are deeply connected, and your gut health is part of your overall well-being.

Prior to joining Oshi, LaTia completed advanced training at Florida State University and spent over a decade gaining hands-on experience in psychotherapy, palliative care, and healthcare management.

When she’s not helping patients, LaTia treasures time with her kids and finds peace at the beach, listening to the waves and feeling the sand beneath her feet.
