I want patients to feel safe and heard during our sessions. I implement these practices by using motivational interviewing in my coaching and counseling practice to ensure the patient is given autonomy in their care plan.

Alessandra Stasnopolis is a registered dietitian with years of experience supporting a diverse range of individuals. In her work at Oshi, Alessandra provides inclusive, judgment-free nutrition care designed to help patients feel safe, heard, and supported. She uses a collaborative approach that prioritizes patient autonomy and works with patients to build realistic, sustainable plans that fit their lifestyle. Her goal is for every patient to feel understood and empowered in their care.

She believes effective care requires looking at the full picture rather than focusing narrowly on individual symptoms or dietary rules. In addition to nutrition, Alessandra also considers stress, sleep, hydration, lifestyle, and social determinants of health when working with patients.

Alessandra was drawn to gastrointestinal (GI) nutrition both professionally and personally. Living with conditions like gastritis, gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), and irritable bowel syndrome (IBS)—and a history of small intestinal bacterial overgrowth (SIBO) and colon polyps—sparked her curiosity about digestive health. Lived experience has also deepened her empathy for patients navigating similar challenges.

Outside of work, Alessandra enjoys traveling, practicing aerial arts, going to concerts, reading (currently in her ‘book girl era’), and spending time with friends, family, and her dogs.
