  • Getting started

    • Oshi Health is currently available to people ages 18 and older.

    • We manage and treat hundreds of GI conditions—including Crohn’s disease, ulcerative colitis, irritable bowel syndrome (IBS), acid reflux and gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), small intestinal bacterial overgrowth (SIBO), gastritis, and more—as well as chronic symptoms like diarrhea, constipation, abdominal pain, and bloating.

    • While the number of appointments you have will vary based on your individual needs and goals, Oshi Health GI care is designed to fit into your life. In addition to offering appointments during traditional business hours, we offer evening and weekend appointments so you can meet with your care team when it’s convenient for you, from the comfort of home or virtually anywhere.

    • Your privacy is our top concern. Our HIPAA-compliant mobile app and systems are fully encrypted to keep your medical information protected, and we engage in regular security checks to ensure our practices are current and effective. We never share individual-level medical information with employers or third-party companies.

  • Insurance and billing

    • Oshi Health is in-network with many health plans, including Aetna and UnitedHealthcare. Visits with your Oshi Health provider(s) will be billed to your insurance, and any copay, deductible, or out-of-pocket cost will depend on the specifics of your plan. To get a tailored cost estimate based on your plan details, click here to provide your member information, and an Oshi Health enrollment specialist will respond back to you shortly.

    • Yes, copays, deductibles, and other costs related to visits or external care services are HSA or FSA-eligible for most patients. We recommend checking with your FSA/HSA provider for more information and details as to how you can use these funds.

    • If you have out-of-pocket costs based on your specific plan details, you will receive an email and paper statement to the address on file when your billing statement(s) is available, which will include information about how to make a payment online or by mail if you prefer.

    • Oshi Health providers may be employed by the following medical entities: Integrated Digestive Partners; Integrated Digestive Partners of NJ; SKB Medical, PC; and Sameer Berry, MD, PC. You may see these names appear on several Oshi Health documents, including billing statements, order forms, and other medical documents.

    • While we’d love to continue to provide you with support, we understand that you may choose to stop participating in the program. If you choose to discontinue, we will only bill for services that have been rendered at the time of notification.

  • About the providers

    • When you sign up for Oshi Health, you’ll get access to a dedicated team of GI-specialized providers. Your Oshi Health care team may include:

      • Registered dietitians
      • Gut-brain specialists
      • GI providers (nurse practitioners and physician assistants) for initial intake visit, medication refills, and questions and support between in-person visits
      • Gastroenterologists

Our priority is ensuring that you are connected to the right providers, with a focus on improving your quality of life and restoring control over your symptoms and digestive health. And, rest assured that Oshi Health and your existing provider will collaborate closely on your care.

    • GI providers are licensed professionals with specialized training and experience in digestive conditions. At Oshi Health, our advanced practice providers include both physician assistants and nurse practitioners who provide high-quality, personalized care for our patients under the guidance of a gastroenterologist.

    • Registered dietitians are licensed experts in nutritional care with extensive knowledge of gastrointestinal conditions and digestive health. At Oshi Health, our registered dietitians provide tailored dietary guidance to help patients identify any foods that trigger symptoms, and find a sustainable dietary plan that works to keep symptoms under control. Registered dietitians hold nationally recognized certifications from the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics and have completed accredited, supervised practice programs. The registered dietitians at Oshi Health take this training one step further by undergoing specialized training in gastroenterology.

    • Gut-brain specialists are licensed professionals who study the brain and behavior. Oshi Health gut-brain specialists have an advanced degree in psychology or other behavioral health specialties. Our providers understand the science behind the brain-gut connection and are trained in evidence-based therapies—such as cognitive behavioral therapy, gut-directed hypnotherapy, mindfulness-based stress reduction strategies, and more—that reduce digestive symptoms and enhance well-being.

    • Gastroenterologists are licensed, board-certified doctors with advanced training in the management of digestive disorders, such as Crohn’s disease, ulcerative colitis, irritable bowel syndrome (IBS), gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), pancreatitis, and more.

After medical school, gastroenterologists complete a three-year residency in internal medicine, followed by an additional three-year fellowship with specialized training in gastroenterology. Oshi Health gastroenterologists have all completed their fellowship training at a program certified by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME).

    • Our care coordinators help patients manage the logistics of care while also supporting our clinical providers to ensure coordination. They can assist you with sharing medical history, scheduling appointments, filling out insurance forms, navigating health plan coverage and benefits, and more.
